Cornelia studied cello in Europe with french cellist Andre Navarra where she received diplomas in performance and pedagogy. While in Europe, she was a member of the Tibor Varga Chamber Orchestra, the Southwest German Radio Orchestra, and the Bavarian Symphony in Munich. Upon returning to the U.S. she has performed with the Chicago Symphony, Concertante di Chicago, and the Chicago Philharmonic. She is a passionate teacher and enjoys working with all ages. Her teaching philosophy is to make learning fun, and to help her students develop a love for making music together with others.

He has served as Concertmaster of the Mozart Sinfonia, Northwest Indiana Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic and Chicago Chamber. He is a member of the Chicago Sinfonietta and the Orchestra Nashville. Carl has performed with the Chicago, Milwaukee and Grant Park Symphonies. He has appeared as soloist in Europe and Asia.

Studied Viola Performance at Juliard Music Conservatory. After I played with the Moscow Philharmonic for 12 years. After that I was Principle Violist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Retired in 2005 and would like to teach motivated students.

Suzuki teacher

Studied with Marc Johnson and Tanya Carey. Have a B.A from Northern Illinois University and M.A from Western Illinois university. Teaching in the Chicago area for over twenty yrs with positions at The Suzuki Orff School as well as the Midwest Conservatory of Music. Am also a core member of the Northbrook Synphony.

Teaching 8 years Suzuki Method, Books 1 through 4 and some traditional also. Classes consist of only private study (no group),and the parent is strongly encouraged to be present at the lesson. Each semester there is one student recital for the class.The school is located within the beautiful Grove Cultural Center. Andrea Nott is an active cello teacher and performer in the Chicago area. She is currently a member of the Bach & Beyond Ensemble, Oakley Street Cello Choir, and Quartet Elite. Andrea has 12 years of teaching experience, is Suzuki certified, and has her bachelor's and master's degrees in cello performance. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and ability levels.

Mr. Skowronski is a Master Teacher and specializes in repertoire building and recital preparation. He welcomes all serious violinists to the Skowronski Violin Studio in downtown Evanston.

In my undergraduate studies, I was the concertmaster of the Central Michigan University symphony. I have been a member of the Midland Symphony Orchestra, the Northwestern University Summer Symphony, the Chicago Bar Association Symphony, and the Classical Symphony Orchestra of Chicago. Taught beginner-level orchestra, and all levels of private students. Studied with James Crawford, Rami Solomonov, Seunghee Lee, and Alberto Lysy (Buenos Aires)

Desi Tantchev holds both the BM and MM from the State Academy of Music in Sofia,Bulgaria.Prior to moving to the U.S.in 1996,Desi has been performing with leading orchestras in Bulgaria and Europe.She is currently principal violist for the Whiting Park Festival Orchestra ,core member of Northbrook Symphony Orchestra and had performed with IPO,ISO. Teaching both Traditional and Suzuki methods Desi is on the faculty of the MCMC and teaches at Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South H.S and her studio.

B.M., M.M., Artist Diploma Berlin "Hanns Eisler" Music Academy

DAVID YONAN was born in Berlin, and after winning the Berlin youth competition at the age of 10, gave his recital debuts in Berlin, Moscow and St. Petersburg. At the age of 12 he made his orchestral debut at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, performing Henri Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No.2. At age 15 he came to the United States to study with renowned violin teachers, Roland & Almita Vamos, and Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School and the Aspen Music Festival. David has won prizes at numerous significant International Violin Competitions. He has made guest performances at major Music Festivals, including the Aspen, Bowdoin, Schleswig Holstein, Mecklenburg Vorpommern, and Cervo Music Festivals and solo performances with the Berlin Symphony, Nuremberg Symphony, Frankfurt Symphony, Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Potsdam Symphony, Minnesota Sinfonia, and Santiago de Chile Symphony Orchestras among others. He has performed for radio and TV productions for the German ARD and ZDF networks, Deutsche Welle TV, CBS, and the Chilean TV network. He has performed both as a soloist and recitalist in Germany, Italy, England, Denmark, Sweden, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Romania, Poland, Switzerland, and the U.S. and Antarctica. A champion of new music, David Yonan has worked with some of the most successful composers of our time, such as John Adams, Augusta Read Thomas and Arvo Pärt. David Yonan earned a M.M. and an Artist Diploma at the Berlin “Hanns Eisler” Music Academy, where he studied with Werner Scholz. He completed additional post-graduate education at Northwestern University and the Juilliard School, on a full scholarship. He is the founder/artistic director of the Fine Arts Music Society NFP, an organization to promote innovative Music Programming in a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary environment. In addition he has served as Music Director of the AUA Foundation since 2003 and is a board member of the Chicago Dance and Music Alliance. Jessica currently teaches Irish fiddle and Irish music for cellists, as well as beginning tin whistle, for the Irish Music School of Chicago. She teaches this music mostly in group classes, and also encourages students to continue with their classical lessons. Private lessons in Irish music may be available. She also teaches Irish fiddle classes for adults at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
